Sands of Time by Sidney Sheldon

My Review: 4/5

Despite some flaws and fantasy, I enjoyed the book through to the end more than 'Nothing lasts forever' but still I am giving it 4 stars because I think it had too much drama, too many plots and too many 'seriously? can this happen in real?' moments whereas 'Nothing lasts forever' was more realistic. The story is unique though.

It is the story of 4 nuns from different countries with different background that led them to become nuns and by fate; they all end up in one convent.

Sister Lucia: A
murderer, who came to convent to escape from police. She is the most adventurous one.

Sister Megan: Most intelligent one. She ended up in the convent after her parents were killed in plane crash.

Sister Graciela: She is the most beautiful one. She falls in love with a terrorist but will she marry him?

Sister Teresa: She is the oldest one. She became nun to run away from the man who betrayed her.

One day, their convent gets raided by armies and while these 4 nuns try to escape, they unexpectedly get encountered with terrorists. This encounter changes their lives and now they are struggling to choose a way they should live their lives. Where will they go? Will they go back to where they came from?

Watch out for Sidney Sheldon. He has a reputation for making his readers bookworms.
